A Massachusetts man was taken into custody after state police said he led troopers on a dangerous rush-hour pursuit while allegedly holding a pregnant woman at gunpoint inside his vehicle. Authorities said the chase ended after the suspect crashed into multiple vehicles along Interstate 93 before attempting to flee on foot, CBS News reported.

House Bill 4100 (2026) requires these terminals to be able to cover spill-related liabilities, including spill response, remediation and damages up to $300 million. DEQ must develop rules that comply with federal standards, where appropriate, and align with the State of Washington's financial responsibility requirements. Statute establishes a deadline of March 31, 2027, for bulk fuel terminals to apply to DEQ for a certificate of financial responsibility. Involvement by interested parties DEQ has appointed a rulemaking advisory committee to review issues and provide input related to the proposed rules.
