Sean Grayson, the former Sangamon County, Illinois, sheriff’s deputy convicted in the fatal 2024 shooting of Sonya Massey, has died while serving a prison sentence, according to his attorney. Grayson, 32, died Sunday after previously being diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. Attorney Daniel Fultz confirmed the death but did not immediately provide additional details about the circumstances, CBS News reported.
