CALABASAS, Calif. — A Southern California family is counting its blessings after firefighters removed a venomous rattlesnake that had slithered into a backyard play area, where children regularly play among scattered toys. The frightening discovery has renewed warnings from wildlife officials about snake activity during the warmer months, according to The New York Post.
