Police officers shot a dog to death Sunday afternoon after it started attacking people in its Southeast Portland household, police said.

The attack started around 3 p.m. Sunday in a home near Southeast Stark Street and 136th Avenue, Portland police spokesperson Mike Benner told The Oregonian/OregonianLive.
