Aradia Harper Sadler, 5, drowned Sept. 23 in Fairview Lake. Her mother said her youngest daughter exuded joy.

Heather Bates was in the bathroom of her Fairview home when she had the urge to check on her 5-year-old daughter. Her room looked in place, but she didn’t hear her feet.
