KYIV, Ukraine — Russia launched one of its largest aerial assaults of the war overnight, firing nearly 600 drones and missiles at Ukraine, with the heaviest strikes centered on Kyiv. Ukrainian officials said the barrage killed at least 21 people and injured more than 90 others, making it the deadliest attack on the capital since May. The assault lasted for hours, sending residents scrambling into subway stations and bomb shelters as explosions echoed across the city.
