Description

A 46-year-old man, Joshua, Cartrette, is accused of pushing a U.S. Customs and Border Protection tactical unit agent and kicking “multiple deployed tear gas canisters” toward federal agents outside the ICE building in South Portland on Saturday night.

Two men accused of assaulting a federal officer this weekend outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Portland’s South Waterfront area made brief appearances in federal court Monday afternoon.

RECKLESS MOTORCYCLYST ARRESTED | Over the weekend, an HPD officer attempted to stop a motorcyclist who was riding recklessly. The motorcyclist also had a passenger but proceeded to elude the officer at a high rate of speed. Within minutes, Washington County's Air Support Unit arrived in the area and located the motorcycle. The motorcycle, which reached speeds of 76 miles per hour on surface streets, was tracked to a location where officers contacted and arrested the motorcyclist without incident   
  
Dalton Lee Hattig (30) from Hillsboro was arrested for the following charges:  
  
Criminal Driving while Suspended – Felony  
Attempt to Elude Police Officer – Felony  
Reckless Driving  
Reckless Endangering  
Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine  
Unlawful Possession of Heroin  
Possession of Controlled Substance – schedule III  
Parole Violation  
Felony Arrest Warrant  
  
The passenger was released with no charges.  
  
The Air Support Unit (ASU) is an interagency team that provides support to law enforcement patrol and investigative operations through aviation-based sensors and communication equipment. The team responds to requests throughout the Portland Metropolitan Area as a member of the Metro Air Support Team. Unit members are trained in surveillance, aerial photography, suspect apprehension, disaster response, and Search and Rescue (SAR) support.Photos from Hillsboro Police Department's post
