Description
Homer Davenport activities have been the primary multi-day festival in Silverton since 1980, providing family fun and entertainment to the local area. Held in the historic Coolidge McClaine Park.
The Silverton Rotary Club and experienced members of the community have been managing and coordinating Homer Days festivities, as well as the Silverton Hills Strawberry Festival, to maintain this great tradition. We always welcome new faces and new energy, to sustain the long-term future of the festival.
The Homer Days volunteers are committed to putting on a world class Home-Town Summer Festival. We have everything you would expect, including a Parade, Arts & Crafts, Food Court, Live Music and Homer's own Brew Fest.
In celebrating the life and times of our favorite son—and Oregon’s first media super star—Political Cartoonist Homer Davenport, we also have several features not usually seen in a summer festival: An International Cartoon Contest featuring entries from around the globe; a strong focus on our heritage and history; and of course the Davenport Races!
