Not often does live music come to the town of Coquille, but on Saturday November 1st multiple musical acts will descend on the sleepy Coos county seat to awaken the spirits and townsfolk alike. Gracing the pink-clad theater in downtown Coquille will be three of the best music acts in all of the south coast: Tiller of the Moon is a group of musicians hailing from Coos Bay to Myrtle Point. They blend midwestern roots with classic west-coast folk to create a catchy, modern sound that is equal parts folk, country, and indie rock. They have three albums available everywhere you find music: Waiting Game, Congratulations, and Wasson. Her sound is eclectic, ranging from Randy Newman-esque piano ballads dressed in irony to synthy melodies fit for movie scores. Her music exudes emotional undertones, often in juxtaposition to the lyrical content. She is busy recording her first album, Things are Getting Weird. Led by singer and songwriter, Tbird, the group has recently released their debut album, Feel This Way, this past August.
