Description
The 2026 da Vinci Days Graand Kinetic Challenge and Corvallis Kaleidoscope Begins on Saturday July 18th at the Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts (PRAx). There will be activities, demonstrations, and showcases of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Fun for everyone of all ages. The Graand Kinetic Challenge will begin with Pageantry, around 10am. The race will begin shortly after noon. From PRAx teams will race out to the Benton County Fairgrounds to traverse a sand dune, after that they return to PRAx to complete Day 1.
Day 2 begins at the area north of the boat launch at Crystal Lake Park. Teams must navigate about 175 feet of thick, goopy mud. Those who make it through that then clean up and prepare to enter the Willamette River. Teams navigate about 1.5 miles down river to Michaels Landing. Once they have exited the water they will return to the road to reach the finish line on 1st ST Corvallis between Madison & Monroe.
Throughout the entire race teams must carry all equipment needed for the entire course, including a teddy bear. They may also be commanded to preform a song and dance number at any point (for the sanity of all involved this is rarely done).
Spectators and Volunteers wanted.
