Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has selected eastern Oregon as the first community to launch a new program in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation that will help restore native trees in local communities. The Arbor Day Foundation is the world’s largest member nonprofit dedicated to planting trees. Through this inaugural event, the program aims to bring together a community of volunteers to plant more than 200 trees in eastern Oregon through a series of events open to the community. Working in collaboration with the Boardman, Umatilla, and Hermiston Park and Recreation departments, the effort will help beautify and reforest local parks, city spaces, and roads.
