Under the overall direction of the Mayor and City Council, the North Bend City Administrator serves as the chief administrative and executive officer of the City, ensuring that City Council directives, goals, and policies are implemented and executed by the organization. The City Administrator also serves as the Executive Director of the Urban Renewal Agency of North Bend and an ex-officio member of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

The City Administrator operates at the heart of our municipal government, where efficient operations touch people’s day-to-day lives in the community. Job duties include:

- Managing the city budget

- Overseeing city personnel

- Addressing questions from the media regarding city council activities

- Meeting with various heads of departments to identify and resolve issues

- Making recommendations to the mayor and other city leaders on a variety of topics, including budgets, personnel needs, and project costs

- Ensuring completion of reports and studies commissioned by elected officials

- Overseeing essential services

- Working on critical economic development projects

- Responding to and resolving complex or delicate questions or concerns of citizens
