The 16th Annual Marshfield Poetry Slam was absolutely amazing. We had 16 participants share some truly moving and emotional pieces. We also had a guest poet, 1983 MHS alum JK Mansfield, who shared a couple of his poems from his recently published book Coos River Beauties. Our winners were Nadiah Duran, 1st Place, Amiah Purkey, 2nd Place, Lillian Burch, 3rd Place, and Shannon White, Best Cemetary Poem. Thank you to Mrs. Benson and the MHS English department for organizing the event. Finally, a special thank you to tonight’s emcee, Jackson Sanne, for stepping in and doing a funny and amazing job. We hope to continue to grow our participants for next year.Photos from Marshfield High School's post Featured News by Marshfield High School
