Road Closures Along Fulton Avenue  
  
The City of Coos Bay is continuing construction of a new sanitary force main along Fulton Avenue between S Marple Street to Lindy Lane. The new force main and pump station are required in order to connect the 400 single family residential development, otherwise known as Timber Cove Estates, to the sanitary sewer system. The construction activities require the periodic closure of blocks along Fulton Avenue. Closure(s) will only allow local traffic through and will be reopened after daytime construction work ends at 7 p.m. per the project schedule. Working hours will be from 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Heavy rain, strong winds, and possible flooding are expected in Lane County over the next few days. Now is the time to prepare and take steps to stay safe.

🔸A strong atmospheric river bringing several inches of rain  
🔸Rivers that may reach Minor Flood Stage, including the Mohawk and Siuslaw  
🔸Gusty winds that could cause downed trees and power outages  
  
🪣 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 (bring your own shovel and gloves):

🔸 McKenzie Fire Disaster Relief Logistics Building – 42870 McKenzie Hwy (enter off Leaburg Dr.)  
🔸Mohawk Community Church – 91190 Hill Rd. (after 6 p.m. tonight)  
  
🔌 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰:  
🔸Gather supplies for possible power outages (including medications and pet needs)  
🔸Use generators safely and only outdoors  
🔸Clear leaves and debris from storm drains  
🔸 Drive cautiously and watch for downed trees, powerlines, and debris
