May 2026 has been proclaimed Older Americans Month in Tualatin, recognizing and celebrating the contributions, wisdom, and experiences of older adults in our community.

Older adults play an important role in shaping Tualatin through their work as mentors, volunteers, caregivers, leaders, and active members of the workforce. Their lifelong contributions have strengthened our neighborhoods, enriched our civic life, and helped define our community’s character.

The City of Tualatin is committed to fostering an age-friendly community that supports health, independence, inclusion, and meaningful engagement for residents of all ages.
During Older Americans Month, we celebrate the resilience and diversity of older adults and recognize the importance of connection, accessible services, and community support so everyone can age with dignity and purpose.

This proclamation was adopted at the April 13, 2026 City Council Meeting.

We encourage everyone to join us in honoring older adults throughout May and to recognize their ongoing contributions to our community.
