Portland police released body camera footage of Matthew G. Greer, who died in their custody on Dec. 11 on a sidewalk off North Interstate Avenue. He was a suspect in a nearby stabbing of a convenience store clerk and handcuffed.

A 43-year-old man who died in police custody Dec. 11 had been spotted on the sidewalk of North Interstate Avenue, was groaning in pain, said his arms and his legs hurt and muttered, “I’m going to die,” after police handcuffed him in connection with a nearby stabbing.
