Road Closure on N 2nd St

The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board will begin construction of a new water main on N 2nd St between N 2nd Ct and Cedar Ave during the week of November 9, 2026. The crew will work between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The anticipated date of completion is November 20, 2026.

N 2nd Street will be closed to through traffic during construction, with detours at the intersection of N 2nd St and Park Ave and at the intersection of N 7th Rd and Date Ave. Local access will be preserved for the two homes within the project area.

Residents with special needs, such as doctor appointments or other scheduling needs should inform the Water Board by calling 541-267-3128 ext. 232 or contacting the Water Board crew on site. They will make every effort to meet your needs.

Customers within the work area will experience water outages during the project. The outages will happen as the crew connects the new water main to the existing water main and when each water service line is changed from the old water main to the new water main. The duration of each outage will vary. Residents will be notified by door hanger of the timing and estimated duration of each outage prior to the interruption of service.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact Matt Whitty at 541-267-3128 ext. 232.Photos from Coos Bay - City Government's post Featured News by City of Coos Bay
