Please join us for an in-depth conversation about housing in Tualatin on September 30, 2024 at the Tualatin Service Center (10699 SW Herman Road). Doors open at 5:30 and the program will run from 6 to 7:30 pm.
In 2023, more than 30% of Tualatin residents were severely rent burden (spending more than 50% of their income on rent). City staff will invite housing experts from a variety of agencies, including Washington County and Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH), to participate in a panel discussion to discuss the causes and consequences of severe rent burdens within the city, the barriers to reducing rent burdens and possible solutions. Tualatin’s City Council will be in attendance. Members of the public are encourage to attend and will be given an opportunity to share their perspectives. Light refreshments will be provided.
