Did you know that in 2012  the “Tualatin Totem” sculpture was installed in Commons Point Park (the wedge shaped park between Nyberg Rd and Tualatin-Sherwood Rd)?  This striking design was created by artist Rip Caswell of Studio Art Direct.    
  
But did you know there were several other design concepts submitted for this project? We're excited to share renderings of some of the alternate designs that also would have made Tualatin residents proud!  Let us know your favorites in the comments.

Join us in two weeks at the Coos History Museum for our March Tuesday Talk with guest Karen Caverly-Molineaux, who will be talking about Women Theater Owners of Oregon's Silent Era.  
Karen Caverly-Molineaux is a PhD candidate from Klamath Falls who will be presenting on the complexities of being an early 1900s-woman theater owner, focusing on film exhibitioner, businesswoman and entrepreneur Mrs. Elizabeth A. Hartman of Bandon.
