Oregon’s Secretary of State LaVonne Griffin-Valade worked as a government performance auditor for over 16 years. On Monday she said she stood by the controversial audit of the state's cannabis program. “I have instructed the auditors to maintain the report as issued,” Griffin-Valade wrote in a memo to the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission.

Oregon Secretary of State LaVonne Griffin-Valade on Monday announced she had completed a review of the controversial audit of the state’s cannabis program and determined it met auditing standards and should stand.
