Yesterday, our Code Compliance Officers responded to a report of newborn kittens inside a vehicle’s engine compartment. Based on their condition, officers believe the kittens were likely born there sometime within the last day.

The kittens were tucked into a tight space beneath the engine that couldn’t be accessed from underneath the car, making the rescue especially challenging. After a careful and patient effort, all three kittens were safely removed.

With no mother cat nearby, the kittens were taken to a veterinarian for evaluation and will now be placed into foster care while they continue to receive care and monitoring.

Thanks to patience and teamwork, these little ones are now in good hands.
