WELLNESS FOR THE NEW YEAR AT THE COOS BAY LIBRARY

The busy holiday season is behind us, and we are once again embarking on a new year. Many of us are making goals (dare I say, resolutions) to take better care of ourselves this year and the Coos Bay Public Library (CBPL) wants to help you practice a little self-care. We begin with two workshops on breathwork with Sophia Carissa on January 6. Join us to learn how intentionally controlling your breathing patterns can improve your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Registration is required so sign up now on our website or call us, 541-269-1101.

Yoga is another great way to practice self-care. Adults and teens are invited to join our Yoga Class on Saturday, January 10 and again on January 24 from 9-10 a.m. This beginner friendly class is the perfect way to start your weekend by doing something good for yourself. Stretch your muscles and set your intentions to accomplish your goals or just relax and enjoy shavasana. No registration needed, just show up!

Adults and Teens are also invited to our Winter Care Workshop on January 23. CBPL has once again teamed up with Natural Grocers to bring your skin some much-needed winter care. We will be making soothing body oil and rejuvenating lip scrub to help your skin feel soft and smooth. Registration is required and can be completed on our website or by giving us a call.

If these classes aren’t the self-care you need, check out the many offerings at the Library online or stop by and pick up a printed calendar. We have all types of classes and workshops from Baby Storytimes to Tween Time, art classes, book clubs, Zumba, Men’s Group and so much more. We are sure to have something that will help you in the New Year.Photos from Coos Bay - City Government's post Featured News by City of Coos Bay
