Public Safety Notice: Sunken Vessel at City Docks

The City advises boaters and visitors that a vessel sank at the city docks on Thursday afternoon and remains in the water while staff assess the situation and determine the appropriate next steps for recovery. The sunken vessel may present a navigational and public safety hazard, particularly as increased holiday activity is expected on the waterfront. Boaters are urged to use extreme caution when operating in the area, maintain a safe distance from the affected location, and follow any temporary safety measures or instructions from City personnel. The City appreciates the public's cooperation. Featured News by City of Coos Bay
