On Saturday at 9:09 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory in effect until 10 p.m. for Curry County Coast.
"Large breaking waves of 20 to 23 feet," can be expected according to the weather service. "The risk is higher this morning on the incoming tide, which is a higher than normal King tide."
