•••Driver Arrested for DUII After Speeding in Bunkerhill Area•••

On June 24th, 2024, at 10:40 p.m., Deputy B. Freerksen was on routine patrol in the Bunkerhill area. While in the vicinity, Deputy Freerksen observed a white Dodge pickup truck traveling at a high speed. Upon following the vehicle, it was determined that the pickup was exceeding the speed limit, with speeds of 50mph in a 30mph zone. As a result, Deputy Freerksen, following standard procedure, initiated a traffic stop on the white Dodge pickup. However, during the process of pulling over, the vehicle abruptly mounted the curb and drove onto the sidewalk for approximately 10 feet before coming to a complete stop.

The driver of the white Dodge pickup was identified as Adam Peter Schneck, aged 22. The traffic stop occurred at the intersection of Highway 101 and Linton Ln. Deputy Freerksen noticed signs of impairment when interacting with Mr. Schneck.

Following a subsequent investigation, Mr. Schneck was arrested and charged with DUII. He was then transported to the Coos Bay Police Department for further testing.

Mr. Schneck was issued a criminal citation for DUII and released into the custody of a sober adult.
