•••Brian A. Springer (40) sentenced to 100 months in prison•••  
   
On April 19th 2024 Brian A. Springer (40) appeared in circuit court in Coquille to accept a plea deal for an incident which occurred in Coos Bay on October 27th 2023. The plea agreement was negotiated by Deputy District Attorney John Blanc on behalf of the victims in the case and the state of Oregon. It should be noted the victims completely supported the plea agreement and are releaved to put this incident behind them.  
   
Brian A. Springer (40) was sentenced as reflected below on case 23CR52915  
   
• Assault in the Second Degree (70 Months)  
• Unlawful Use of a Weapon (18 Months Concurrent)  
• Menacing (10 days Concurrent)

•••Deputy locates stolen UTV while investigating a report of a disturbance in Green Acres•••  
   
On April 24th, 2024, at 12:01 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of a disturbance in progress located on Greenacres Lane.  
   
Upon arrival, Deputy H. Francis made contact with all parties involved and assessed the situation. The disturbance was found to be verbal in nature. While on the property, Deputy Francis discovered a suspicious UTV concealed under a black tarp. Further investigation revealed that the UTV had been reported as stolen.  
   
One of the subjects involved in the reported disturbance, Nicholas A. Daimler (38), had locked a chain to the UTV before fleeing from the property. After an investigation, Deputy Francis placed out the probable cause for Nicholas A. Daimler’s (38) arrest on Theft by Receiving.  
   
Mast Brothers Towing responded to the location and removed the stolen UTV, which was later returned to the owner. Featured News by Coos County Sheriff
