The Coos Bay City Council will meet on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 – 6:00 PM, Council Chambers - 500 Central Avenue, Coos Bay, Zoom Remote Attendance Link & YouTube Link.  Agenda:  1. Flag Salute; 2. Public Comments - The Public Comments period is intended for the public to share ideas and concerns; it is not intended for an interactive discussion with Council. There may be opportunities for public comments during specific agenda items that require a Public Hearing, members of the public are requested to confine their remarks to questions or issues under discussion during this time.   During ANY designated comment period, individuals shall not engage in personal attacks, shall not impugn the motives of any speaker, and shall at all times, while in session conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. No person shall make personal, impertinent, slanderous or unauthorized remarks or become boisterous while addressing the Council.  a. Public Comments; 3. Consent Calendar:  a. Consideration of Appointment to the Coos County Library Board; b. Consideration to Appoint Safe Routes to School Project Management Team Members at Large; c. Consideration to Accept Grants Awarded to the Coos Bay Public Library; d. Consideration of Acceptance of an Oregon Department of Energy Grant for Repair of Fire Department HVAC System; e. Consideration to Accept the Oregon State Firefighters Apprenticeship Program Grant; 4.Presentation:  a. Coastal Families Relief Nursery Presentation; b. Presentation of the Oregon State Marine Board Challenge Coin to Greg Hamblet and the Transportation and Facilities Staff.  5. Action Items:  a. Consideration to Approve General Obligation Bond Ballot Title - Approval Would Require Adoption of Resolution 24-26; b. Consideration to Adopt Resolution 24-25 Appropriating Library and Fire Grant Funds Received; c. Consideration to Approve Revised Operations and Maintenance Intergovernmental Agreement with Charleston Sanitary District; d. Consideration to Approve the Bike Improvements Facilities Project Design from Front Street to Mingus Park.  e. Consideration to Create a Parks Commission Fact Finding Committee for Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities; f. Consideration to approve Project Management Contract with HGE Architects, Inc. for the Seismic Rehabilitation of the Eastside Fire Station; g. Consideration to Approve a Change Order for the Pump Station 6 upgrade; h. Consideration of Change to City Manager Salary; 6. City Manager's Report; 7. Mayor and Council Comments; 8. Adjourn.
