At our April 13 City Council Meeting, we recognized grant recipient Tualatin Food Pantry.    
   
Tualatin Food Pantry is one of the local nonprofits that received funding through the Outside Agency Grant Program, which supports efforts to build a connected, equitable, and thriving community.   
  
Tualatin Food Pantry is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing food assistance to individuals and families in need within the Tualatin area. Their mission is to reduce food insecurity by offering accessible, nutritious food in a welcoming and supportive environment.   
  
Through weekly food distribution and community partnerships, the Tualatin Food Pantry helps ensure that community members have reliable access to essential resources.

Want to honor the perfect pooch?  Join us on Tuesday, June 9 from 6:00pm – 8:15pm to make a personalized portrait of your favorite dog!  
  
You’ll learn to use Craftsy, available for free through the Libby app, and follow a tutorial to craft a custom portrait of your pet in this free class for teens and adults.  
  
We'll be following 'Pet Portraits in Colored Pencil' by Gemma Gyling on Craftsy.  
  
No experience necessary.  If you'd rather draw your cat, check out the sister event on Monday, June 29 from 6:00pm – 8:15pm.

We will be creating a contour drawing of your pet using carbon transfer paper, so please send a clear photograph of your dog to echurchcb@coosbaylibrary.org prior to the day of the event.  The photo will be cropped to a square and printed for use in the class.
