🇵🇪 QUINOA IS PERUVIAN AND THERE’S A STORY BEHIND IT

Quinoa recently became part of Oregon’s conversation about tariffs.

During a discussion about the impact of tariffs on Oregon businesses, Bob’s Red Mill raised concerns about imported ingredients such as quinoa a food with ancient roots in the Andes and an important part of Peru’s agricultural and cultural heritage.

But beyond the tariff debate, there is another reason quinoa deserves attention: its remarkable nutritional value. 🌾

Quinoa is naturally gluten-free and provides:
• Complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids
• Fiber
• Iron and magnesium
• Plant-based protein
• Important vitamins and minerals

It’s nutritious, versatile and has nourished Andean communities for thousands of years. Today, quinoa is enjoyed around the world.

From the Andes to Oregon and beyond. 🌎

🇵🇪 Peruvian heritage. Global food. Culture to be Shared.
