Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown’s judgement is being questioned after he proposed, directed and starred in a social media video made in his official capacity using staff time and other public resources. The stated purpose of the video was to read aloud and make fun of “mean tweets” and other social media message posted by his critics. As The Center Square’s investigative correspondent TJ Martinell reported, Brown took these questionable actions while an active State Bar Association investigation into him was underway. That investigation has been dismissed, but the complainant in the case could still appeal that decision. Martinell joins us to tell us more about the fallout and implications of the AG’s actions.
