I am someone who has long wanted more media access to the WNBA. I became a fan of Caitlin Clark when she was a sophomore; I rejoiced at the attention produced by her arrival in the league. Now, I am delighted to learn we’ll have a team in just two years, (“The WNBA returns to Portland, billed as a ‘global epicenter’ for women’s sports,” Sept. 18). I have a suggestion – nay, a strong urging - for those involved in selecting the team’s name. No matter what the second word is, make “Oregon” the first word.
