Public safety, civility and beauty are prerequisites for a thriving Portland. A good place to start supporting these things is with the proposed Multnomah County ordinance that would ban mobile needle distribution near K-12 schools for two years, (“Multnomah County proposal would ban syringe, needle exchanges near schools,” May 7).
