President Donald Trump and his fellow Republicans talked big about bringing down prices, including energy prices. Instead, over the last two years, they have aggressively pursued policies that have driven up prices, particularly for energy. They blocked the development of the cheapest sources of electricity, such as wind and solar. They rolled back money-saving efficiency standards. They pushed to keep America dependent on oil and gas. Then, they launched a pointless and expensive war against Iran, which has spiked the cost of the same fossil fuels they fought to make us more dependent on.
