CADET PROGRAM OPEN HOUSES | HPD is currently accepting applications for its Cadet program (ages 15-20) until June 3. Interested youth and their parents are invited to attend one of the information nights to learn more about the program and application process from current cadets and advisors. The informational sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 and Friday, May 24 beginning at 6 pm. Location: Hillsboro Police Department, 250 SE 10th Avenue, Hillsboro. No RSVP is necessary.  
  
Cadets get to do ride alongs, as well as learn about law enforcement and other career paths in policing through hands-on trainings and engagement with the community during outreach events.
