The University of Oregon issued an alert Tuesday afternoon, calling for an evacuation of Hayward Field due to a bomb threat. The alert was issued at 1:39 p.m.

The university said that University of Oregon police and “partner agencies” were on the scene investigating. They said the investigation was expected to take “several hours.”

The venue is preparing to host the NCAA Track and Field championships starting Wednesday.
