Description

Cal-Ore Life Flight is pleased to announce its partnership with the Brookings Police Department for the acquisition of AEDs. As Chief McCrae notes below, our organizations have maintained a productive working relationship, and this collaboration represents an additional measure to enhance the delivery of critical life-saving services to our community.
“The Brookings Police Department is thankful to have partnered with Cal-Ore Life Flight to purchase and place an AED in each of our patrol vehicles. With officers on 24/7, we often arrive first to serious medical calls. For some time, we have wanted to have an AED in each patrol vehicle to increase the chances for the victim but have been unable to afford to do so. During budget preparation, I reached out to Joe Gregorio and asked about a partnership and he was eager to help us purchase these AEDs that are also used by Cal-Ore and our fire department. On October 8th, Cal-Ore provided the hands-on AED training to each officer and they are now deployed out to each patrol vehicle. The Brookings Police Department and Cal-Ore Life Flight have always worked well together, and this is another example of how partnering can increase our life-saving abilities for our community. “
